Beyond the Natural Foundation's Free Summer Music Camp

BALTIMORE –  With unemployment at historic highs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Beyond the Natural Foundation (BTNF), a local nonprofit, is providing Baltimore City youth in grades 2 through 7 with a tuition-free summer camp where campers will learn positive self-expression through musical art, collaborate on projects that create community, enhance their critical thinking and writing skills, and decrease summer learning loss.

During this summer camp experience, youth will learn songwriting, beat making, music production, piano, drumming and vocal performance while exploring the fundamental aspects of rhythm and harmony. Campers also will get instruction in mathematics, reading comprehension and language arts to prepare them for the upcoming school year. The BTNF summer camp is designed to be a transformative experience – also exposing campers to other enrichments like beekeeping, bird catching and nature exploration in Stillmeadow Peace Park.”
